We offer four of our most popular archival-grade papers for deckled edge printing:

• Fine Art Rag 285gsm – A premium, natural white cotton paper with a subtle texture, great for vibrant colours and soft gradients.

• Museum Heritage 310gsm – A beautifully structured fine art paper with a light texture and natural tone, providing exceptional detail and contrast.

• Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm – A smooth, 100% cotton paper with a matte finish, ideal for high-detail prints.

What is a Deckled Edge Print?

A deckled edge print features a naturally feathered, torn edge that mimics the look of handmade paper. This effect has been used in fine art printing for centuries, giving prints a classic, organic finish. Deckled edges look stunning when float mounted in a frame, emphasizing their handcrafted appeal.

Please Note

Each deckled edge print is hand-torn, meaning that final dimensions may vary slightly (1-2mm smaller) due to the natural tearing process. This does not affect the printed image but adds to the unique character of the print.

Standard Sizes Available

We offer a wide range of standard print sizes, including A5 to A0 and popular inch sizes from 4x6" up to 40x30". Most artwork and photography sizes are covered within our standard range.

Custom Sizes

Need a custom size? Simply choose the next size up that your required dimensions fit within and add your exact size requirements in the order notes. We'll trim your print to size before dispatch.

White Borders

White borders are popular in giclee printing as they are useful for framing and also signing and numbering limited edition prints.

We will scale your art with a suitable white border based on scale and paper size. If you have a preference on border width, let us know in the notes section.

Note: If you select a white border, it’s printed within your chosen size — the paper size stays the same. For example, an A3 print with a white border still measures A3 overall, with your artwork reduced slightly to fit the border. If you select “no border”, your image will print full bleed, right to the edges of the paper.

Resizing Artwork

We can help re-size your artwork for the print size you order. We will check your artwork is the correct ratio and make sure it fits well on the paper size selected. If your artwork is a different ratio to the ordered size, we will be able to make a custom sized print at the closest size to the ordered size.

We can work with a wide variety of artwork, image and file types.

We manually check every file before printing. If we spot any obvious issues, we'll get in touch before production.

Ideal specification:

- Colour format: RGB or CMYK
- Resolution: 300 dpi +
- File format: JPEG, PDF, PSD, AI
- 8 bit or 16 bit
- Flattened files where possible

We print using 12 ink colours which means we can replicate RGB colours more closely than 4 colour CMYK prints.

Upload Your Artwork

Upload your artwork or photography files before adding your order to the cart. We accept high-resolution JPG, TIFF and PNG files.

Sending Multiple Large Files

If you have a lot of files for a project, exhibition etc, you may want to send us your files separately.

You can place your order for prints and then send us your artwork files via WeTransfer or your preffered file sharing service to hello@giclees.co

(please quote your order number and name in the message).

Turnaround Times

We generally ship orders out within 2-4 working days.

We try to print your order as quickly as possible and will try to accomodate shipping requests where possible. Larger bulk orders may require an extra day or two.

Packaging

We send your order out in specialist reinforced print packaging. Most single print orders are sent in reinforced tubes, bulk orders in reinforced flat mailers.

We send packages plain label for dropshipping, gifting or business users.

Tracking

Every order is shipped out with tracking. You will get a notification and tracking link once your order ships.

UK Shipping

Most orders in the UK are shipped with Royal Mail where possible.

Larger prints, bulk orders, frames or canvases may ship with an alternative courier.

International Shipping

We ship Worldwide and have a lot of customers in Europe, USA and other destinations. We've got UPS fast shipping worldwide. Price is calculated at checkout based on your order size, weight and value.

Please note: shipping prices do not include any customs or duty for territories outside of the UK and will be the responsibility of the receiver.

Bulk Pricing

The more prints you order in a single run, the lower the cost per print. Bulk discounts are automatically applied across most products.

Up to 10 Designs Per Order

For bulk print runs, you can upload up to 10 different designs within the same order.

1. Select your size
2. Select total quantity (e.g. 50)
3. Upload designs (e.g. 5)
4. Let us know quantity of each in the notes section (e.g. 10 of each)

Need more than 10 designs? Add the product to your basket more than once. You can then upload additional designs while still receiving the bulk discount based on your total print quantity.
